PR Firm Hired to Represent Juror from Casey Anthony Case… What Would You Do?

According to ABC Action News, a juror from the high-profile Casey Anthony case has hired a PR firm to represent them to the media.

Paid Interviews Only

French/West/Vaughan is representing juror number 6, a married father of two who is seeking paid-only opportunities to share his story. According to French, juror number 6 will not accept any opportunities not involving compensation. The New York Times also reports that the juror is requiring a “mid-five figures fee” which means somewhere around $50,000.

The Firm

Founded in 1997, French/West/Vaughan is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and focuses on consumer, healthcare, financial, B2B, sports and entertainment PR.

According to O’Dwyer’s PR firm database, French/West/Vaughan has ranked as the Southeast’s largest independent PR firm for the better part of the last decade. They work with more than 50 of the world’s leading companies and brands within their focus areas.

What Would You Do?

Would you take on this client? Do you think it would have any negative PR on your company? What would you do to represent this client in a positive light, despite the negative perception that many people have toward paid-for interviews?
