According to an article on SearchEngineLand.com (a great site by the way if you haven’t discovered it yet!), along with the recent changes for personal Facebook users, there are a few changes for fan pages.
The changes include:
- “People Talking About This” metric – designed to show conversations happening about a brand or page owner across the web.
- New page insights API tool – shows sharing on pages: see how posts reach people beyond your fans, including Friends of Fans of a Page, which lets you optimize content according to Facebook. Includes weekly Total Reach of a Page
- Premium Ad Unit – combines page posts with social context from users’ friends when available. When the person viewing your brand’s ad has friends connected to this brand’s Page, Facebook will expand the unit to include a line above that shares which friends like the page
